What is the tempo of Chopin Minute Waltz?
1 Waltz (aka Minute Waltz) by Chopin for a couple of weeks, and I'm able to play the first section pretty fast. However, I have found one thing odd about the piece: On my sheets (Schiermer) it says that the piece is supposed to be played "Molto Vivace", which, according to Wikipedia, is around 172-176 BPM.
How do you say Minute Waltz?
Do musicians know this and pronounce it "my newt", or do they say "minnit"? You pronounce it like the minute (the unit of which hours are made), because it lasts exactly one minute.
