How do you convert a piano song to guitar?
Write out the piano music to be transposed on a sheet of staff paper. Move each note four half steps up. This will change the music from C, the piano's key, to the key of the guitar, which is E. Play the music for the respective instruments together to verify that the pitches are correct in the guitar music.
Can you use the same sheet music for guitar and piano?
Yes. Guitar and piano are similar instruments that both use the treble staff. Piano music also uses the bass clef which can be adapted to strummed chords in the guitar. The biggest adjustment will be transposing the piano sheet music by octaves to make them playable on the guitar.
