About the EBU
Our Members operate nearly 2,000 television, radio and online channels and services, and offer a wealth of content across other platforms. Together they reach an audience of more than one billion people around the world, broadcasting in more than 160 languages.
What does the European Broadcasting Union do?
The EBU is devoted to making public service media indispensable. We support and strengthen public service media, provide first-class media services and offer our members agile platforms for learning and sharing.

How do you become a member of EBU?
To join, applicants must prove that they meet all the membership criteria, by submitting a point-by-point application on a form which is available (in English or French) from our Legal Department. Applications for membership may be submitted at any time, consultations are then held within the relevant EBU bodies.
