What size is a cajon?
Nowadays, cajons are mostly around 48 x 30 x 30 cm in size and primarily made of birch or beech plywood, while some high end models are made of solid wood. In commercial cajons, you either have string-cajons or snare-cajons.
Which cajon should I buy?
If you're serious about buying a cajon you should look for a model that's sturdy, able to take your weight easily and doesn't slip around as you play. Try to find one that has an easily adjustable and quiet snare mechanism for a variety of possibilities.
Do all cajons sound the same?
All cajons do not sound the same, so if you want one that will enable you to be heard & will produce a great sound without hitting hard, it is important you take time to find one that performs well, producing clear, solid bass tones, crisp high tones & good separation (difference) between the two.
What are the different types of cajon?
