How do I fix my Yamaha sustain pedal?

Sustain Pedal Operation is Reversed

1. Power the keyboard OFF.
2. Press and hold down the sustain pedal while powering the keyboard ON.
3. Release the sustain pedal. The sustain pedal should operate properly. NOTE: If the above procedure does not work, performing a Factory Reset may return the sustain pedal to normal operation.

Why is my electric piano pedal not working?

With digital pianos, usually the pedal is either not registered or is registered in reverse if the power is on when you plug in the pedal. So you just need to turn-off your digital piano keyboard, plug in the pedal to the sustain jack and then switch-on the power. This solves the problem most of the time.
