Arturia's BeatStep: a degree of functionality and performance never seen before in a portable pad controller. BeatStep is highly versatile, capable of triggering clips in applications like Ableton Live, playing drums with BFD or EZDrummer, or tweaking synth parameters. Or doing all of those at once!

Does BeatStep Pro have built in sounds?

However, I want to be clear in that the BeatStep is a sequencing/controller device and has NO built in sounds. At a minimum you will need: USB connectivity to the BeatStep to power it. Either MIDI or CV/Gate out to some unit that will receive those signals and produce sound.
