What tape can I use on violin?
Painter's tape would be the best bet. I used to use it to cables on walls in college it doesn't really pull off paint so you should be good. Plus Painter's tape comes in blue normally but has other colors as well. I had a Don't Fret brand fingerboard sticker on my violin for probably 5 or 6 years before I took it off.
