Can I use alcohol wipes to clean my violin?
The rubbing alcohol will destroy the virus and remove some residue from your instrument. We recommend using a paper towel with a little bit of rubbing alcohol to carefully wipe down the chinrest, tailpiece, strings, fingerboard, and pegs.
How do you clean the dust out of a violin?
The inside of your violin however is only accessible through the F holes, and one way that some use clean the inside is to pour rice through the F holes and to gently shake it around. This can dislodge more stubborn dust and dirt and when you pour the rice out again the dust comes out with it.
Can you use guitar polish on a violin?
I would suggest not using polish on your violin at all. If you're concerned, take it to a luthier. You should gently wipe off the strings, and the playing area (anything that's gotten rosin on it), at the end of each practice session. And your hands should be clean before you touch the instrument.
