For reference, I like 9.5-56 to 10-58/60 on a 27 inch scale 7 string tuned from Drop A down to Drop G, so I'd probably recommend 12-64 or 13-70 for you. People need to stop being wusses, a low 80 should do the trick for G. Lee Malia did it on a Les Paul.

Think of only the 6-string tuning when going between 6- and 7-strings. On a 6-string guitar, you would start from A Standard and go down to Drop G; on a 7-string, you would start with D-Standard (with the 7-string tuned to an A, like between the top 2 strings) and go down to Drop G.
