Should I learn minor scale?
Learning all of the modes of any scale especially minor, gives you a better understanding of how soloists, composers, and arrangers choose certain modes of the minor scale and why the songs sound a certain way. It is good to practice melodic and harmonic minor.
Should you learn every scale?
It really depends on what your goals are. If you just want to play your parts in school band, and you can do that just by reading, then you don't need to memorize anything. But if you want to be a good musician and a good improviser, then yes, memorize all the scales.
