How do you polish a lacquer piano?
Lacquer takes a little more love. Beyond simple dusting, a lacquered piano with smudges will respond to a very soft cloth, dipped in a solution of water and extremely mild soap, such as Murphy's Oil Soap, and wrung out thoroughly, wiped gently over the finish in long lines of straight strokes.

What can I use to polish my piano?
If your piano has a high gloss, polyester finish, you may use high gloss polish for very fine scratches. There are other, special polishes available for polyester satin finishes. If your piano has a lacquer finish, again you may use the same treatment of a damp cloth followed by a dry one.
