Why does my Floyd Rose keep going sharp?
If your problem is the string is continually go sharp, it is not a matter of streaching the string to make it stop (if it was continually going flat that could be a course of action) but going sharp is an indication that the string is hanging on somthing that is not allowing it to come back to its original tension.
Can Floyd Rose be tuned down?
Thanks in advance. Yes - you can tune it lower - I'm assuming you mean going for drop C or B or whatever. (1) You will need to set up the Floyd Rose again - but you can do it yourself if you are patient. (2) Heavier strings will help - if you lower the tuning, light strings will flap around.
Are Floyd Roses really that bad?
There is only one advantage to the Floyd Rose System: It works. It works really, really well. Set up correctly, a guitar with a Floyd can take a huge amount of abuse without going out of tune. ... They don't need anything more than simple vibrato, but the extra insurance when it comes to tuning stability is worth it.
