How do you resolve a G7?
The guide tones of G7 (the 3rd, B and the 7th, F) resolve to the root and 3rd of the C chord (C and E). This is a normal V7 to I resolution. The G7 guide tones can also resolve to B-flat and F-sharp, enharmonically forming the root and 3rd of a G- flat chord.
What does VII resolve?
Although VII typically resolves to III, other resolutions are possible. As shown in example e, sometimes VII leads to iv6, which in turn leads to V or V7. (This progression is most likely to be heard in Baroque music.
How do you fix a C7 chord?
Let your newly created dominant chord resolve to a triad.
In the case of the C7 chord, the E resolves up a semitone to F. The B♭ resolves down a semitone to A. These notes, F and A, are the root and major third of an F major chord.
What can a vii chord go to?
