Are ukuleles right or left handed?

This is because equal use of your dominant hand (your left hand if you're lefty) and non-dominant hand (your opposite hand) is required to play ukulele. There's never a time where you're using your left hand more than your right hand or vice versa when playing. To play the ukulele, it's a 50/50 split using both hands.

How does a right handed person hold a ukulele?

Bend your right arm at the elbow.

Your right arm is your strumming arm, so extend the lower part of your arm in a straight line over the ukulele. Allow your right hand fingers to rest gently on the ukulele strings a little bit up the neck from the sound hole.
