Can you use a powered subwoofer with a powered mixer?
Re: Running a powered sub from a powered mixer
Many thanks in advance. You can use the "main out" (L) to the input of your powered sub. Depending on the sub you will use, the UNBALANCED signal from the Yamaha may be able to use a T-S cable (guitar cord) to the sub.
Can I connect powered speakers to a powered mixer?
No. If your mixer is powered and sending an amplified signal, you will need to use passive speakers to properly operate your setup. Some powered mixers only send powered signals through the main outs.
Can you connect a powered subwoofer to an amplifier?
While a powered subwoofer (active subwoofer) does not need to be connected to an amplifier since its amp is built-in, you can connect a powered sub to an amp for data transmission only. To do this, connect the two with RCA cables and plug the powered sub into the wall for its power source.
