Why won't my Floyd Rose stay in tune?

Make sure the intonation screws and saddle locks are very tight. Make sure your locks at the nut are tight, but don't over-tighten the locks on the nut. These do NOT have to be cranked over-tight. Over-tightening here, in my experience, can cause issues.

Does a Floyd Rose need to be level?

The Floyd Rose tremolo should be close to level with the body of your guitar. It's okay if it is slightly raised. If it is raised too high or sinks into the guitar, you need to adjust the screws and springs. Step 2: Once your guitar is in tune, tighten the locking nuts.
