You'll have to solder a piece of wire onto the +ve side of the combo speaker and solder it to both the 'shunt' and the 'outer' connectors on the jack. The result is both speakers are on at the same time running in 'series' at 16ohms.
Can I connect a combo amp to a cabinet?
You can use the line-out speaker jack on your combo amp to connect a speaker cable directly from your combo to the external cabinet. You can disconnect the speaker and head parts of your combo, and solder a jack onto the head unit cable to connect it an external cabinet.
Can an amp head go with any cabinet?
The power rating of the cabinet should not be lower than the power of the amp head. If it it exceeds the amp rating, it is fine. Sure you can plug whatever you want, but you risk damaging the equipment.
