How do you hide empty measures in Musescore?

I used this: Style->General->Check the "Hide empty staves" checkbox, which worked perfectly for the first 2 pages EXCEPT the first system, (that is, the first 4 bars on page 1) where the empty measures didn't hide. My next option was to select those 4 measures, right click > Measure Properties, and uncheck Visible.

Press CTRL +A to Select All. Choose Staff > Hide Empty Staves. The staves disappear from the score, and are replaced with dashed lines indicating the existence of one or more hidden staves.

How do you get rid of staves in Musescore?

  1. Open Part dialogen.
  2. Create new part and add an instrument with 2 staves (e.g. piano)
  3. Open the display og staves/voices in Instruments in part.
  4. Select a staff and press - to remove. (Staff is removed from display)
  5. Ok to generate parts.
  6. Open dialog and look at the part in Instruments in part.

One idea is in measure properties (right click a measure, choose measure (bar in GB) properties and there is a box at the top that says staff 1, staff 2 and so on. To the right of this are boxes you can use to make measures invisible in those staves and another to make the notes stemless in that measure.
