How important are hammer-ons and pull-offs?
As you may know already, hammer-ons and pull-offs sound a lot different from picking a note and most of the time it's a deliberate choice as to what's used in a solo because of how it can change the note's attack. It's an important tool to have as a guitar player and worth practicing.
What is a pull-off on guitar?
A pull-off is a stringed instrument playing and articulation technique performed by plucking or "pulling" the finger that is grasping the sounding part of a string off the fingerboard of either a fretted or unfretted instrument.
