Is the Scarlett 2i4 a headphone amp?
The scarlett has a built in dac and headphone amp. You can use the headphone output and the speaker output at the same time. Connecting a headphone amp and speakers should also work if you use for example the unbalanced output for the headphone amp and the balanced output for the speakers.
