How do I fix the latency on Cakewalk?
In Cakewalk by BandLab, go to Edit > Preferences > Audio - Sync and Caching. Try increasing your Playback I/O Buffer Size and Record I/O Buffer Size. Typically you will want to increase these settings in double increments. For example, settings such as 128, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048 are recommended.
What is latency compensation?
An automatic or manual process or feature in a DAW or other piece of gear or software that is used to correct for timing delays in the signal path. These delays are typically due to various types of processing, plug-ins, hardware I/O, or other items or processes that might result in latency.
Why did Cakewalk go out of business?
Gibson Brands announced today that it is ceasing active development and production of Cakewalk branded products. The decision was made to better align with the company's acquisition strategy that is heavily focused on growth in the global consumer electronics audio business under the Philips brand.
