What is the Bowen technique used for?

How is the Bowen technique performed?

Bowen Therapy uses a sequence of small positive gentle moves made at specific points on your body that are non-invasive, used for relief of pain and and effective treatment for a wide range of problems. Bowen therapists use their thumbs and fingers to make subtle rolling movements on the client's body.

What is the difference between Bowen Therapy and massage?

Both Bowen Therapy and Remedial Massage are very relaxing but some of the KEY differences include: Bowen Therapy addresses the ENTIRE BODY, rather than focusing on a single complaint. Bowen Therapy sessions (Bowtech Bowen) involves 1 or more 'procedures' each consisting of several sets of 'moves.

How long does Bowen Therapy take to work?

Initially two Bowen sessions are scheduled a week apart. Clients usually see significant improvement within these two sessions. Additional sessions are scheduled at least a week apart as needed, with most conditions resolving within 3-8 sessions.
