How do you create a tempo map in Pro Tools?
It can sometimes be quicker to create a tempo map manually by selecting a bar's worth of audio and using the Identify Beat dialogue.Pro Tools will now add a tempo event at the start of the bar and an undefined one at the end of the bar.
How do I add a bar beat marker in Pro Tools?
Click on 4 and type in 4 on the keyboard. This makes Pro Tools think that a new bar starts there and will along the grid accordingly. Play the song again, and after the fourth bar that you marked, count for two more bars and mark that location using the Add Bar / Beat Marker option.
Is Pro Tools good for making beats?
Pro Tools is not ideal if all you want to do is make beats. FL Studio, Reason, Ableton, etc. would be more practical for strictly making beats. If you're making beats, and then want to mix, edit, master, etc... then you'll want a full fledged DAW like Pro Tools, Logic or Cubase.
