How do you fix a loose bass knob?
Use a tiny Allen wrench... Put it in the tiny hole in knob and first go counter clockwise to lossen so you can then push it all the way down. The turn the Allen wrench clockwise to tighten... Good Luck ..
How do you tighten a volume knob?
take the plastic knob off, reveal the post and nut under it. tighten the nut without moving the whole pot. return the knob to the stem. a way to tighten without spinning the whole pot is to hold it from inside the guitar cavity.
Does volume knob affect tone?
Turning down the volume knob is actually the equivalent turning the volume and tone down at the same time. Many people install what is called a "treble bleed" circuit on the volume pot to counteract this phenomenon. These volume and tone differences are going to effect everything that comes later in the chain.
