Can you use guitar tabs for banjo?

Guitar music does not necessarily move over easily to banjo. As you know, they are tuned differently and of course have diofferent numbers of strings. Plus the right hand techniques are usually different. So at that point you either have to find a banjo tab for the piece or workit out on your own.

What does the banjo do in tabs?

Banjo tab or tablature is a way of reading and writing banjo music that has similarities to standard musical notation, but is much easier to read, and gives the player the precise fret, string, and right hand fingering (assuming the player is right handed).

Does Ultimate Guitar have banjo tabs?

No. You have to search the song, then go through each guitar tab individually and pray that one of them has it set up for banjo. It's more common in "guitar pro", or "power tabs".
