Re: "split stereo to mono" option isn't available
Select the top one and Make Stereo Track. That should jam the two tracks together into Stereo and the Split to Mono should start working.
How do you separate mono from stereo?
In the Audio Montage window, click the number button of the track that you want to split. Do one of the following: To split the stereo track into two left/right mono tracks, select Split into Left/Right Mono Tracks. To split the stereo track into two mid/side mono tracks, select Split into Mid/Side Mono Tracks.
Can Audacity split tracks?
An Audacity project can contain multiple audio tracks. Each track is normally in one unbroken section, something like a single film clip. However, Audacity can split a track so as to create multiple clips within that track.
