Where is Audacity manual?

On Windows or Mac, it should go inside the folder containing the Audacity application. In an Audacity installation, this would usually be under "Program Files" on Windows, or under "Applications" on macOS.

Where are Audacity files located?

Default location would be in the c:\program files(x86)\audacity folder. Any user could normally run the program from that location but you might need to create a short cut pointing to audacity.exe on other users desktop or start menu.

Where are Audacity presets stored?

The User Presets should be stored in ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/pluginstettings. cfg.

To open the zipped project file:

  1. Transfer it from the storage (flash drive, external harddrive, or Google Drive) to the computer.
  2. Right-click the file and decompress/extract the project items.
