How to create an ossia with another staff
- Create your score with an additional staff for the ossia (use the "Add Staff" button in the Instrument dialog to add the additional staff to the same instrument);
- Enter all notes normally (including the ones for the ossia);
- Add line breaks if needed to make the ossia fit;
How do you get individual parts in MuseScore?
From the main menu, choose File → Parts... to return to the Parts window. In the left pane, click to select a part that you want to create and view. Press Create Part and a new tab is added to the main MuseScore window containing your newly created part.
How do you change instruments on MuseScore?
Add an instrument change
Double-click the word "Instrument", then type Ctrl+A to select all of it. Type the actual text you wish to appear in the score, then click outside the box to exit text edit mode. Right-click the text and choose "Change Instrument…"
