While the HX Effects has more features, the POD GO suits somebody wanting a simple unit that does everything. The large color display takes a different approach compared to the HX Effects (which has a display above each footswitch). Once you get used to Line 6's color-coding, you'll find it ridiculously easy to use.
Is HX stomp better than POD Go?
The Pod Go is purpose-built for live performers who need a huge selection of presets and access to all of their parameters with ease. The HX Stomp, on the other hand, doesn't have the same performance capabilities, but it's a stronger pedal as far as editing and routing capabilities go, and it has a superior processor.
Is the POD Go worth it?
The Pod Go is definitely worth the price and is great for a compact live rig if you only need simple routing options. It has an effects loop and amp out which can overcome the limitation of only four user effect blocks are available per preset.
