How do you lay out a pedalboard?
As a rule, you should lay them out left to right in order of how they connect together (more on this below). But pedalboards are typically deep enough, from front to back, to accommodate two and sometimes three rows of pedals, giving you yet another dimension to consider when planning your layout.
How do I set up my pedals?
To set up your guitar pedal, you need to:
- Turn everything off.
- Attach your amp and pedal up to the power.
- Attach your guitar to the input jack.
- Link the output jack of the guitar to the input jack of the pedal.
- Lessen the effect knobs of your amp.
- Switch the amp on and set your levels.
- Try out your pedal.
How do I connect my pedals to my pedalboard?
Order and connect your pedals – Route and position your pedals in a logical way, to ensure that you're getting the most out of them. Mount your stompboxes to your pedalboard – After you've established your layout, apply velcro to your pedalboard/stompboxes and mount them. Job done!
