A nested polyrhythm is a polyrhythmic set formed of more than one polyrhythmic subset which are proportional to one another in a different ratio. In this case, for example, 6 is to 8 as 9 is to 12both, when reduced, are in a 3:4 ratio.

What is a nested Tuplet?

Nested tuplets are rhythmic groupings in which a tuplet (such as a triplet or quintuplet) is contained inside an existing tuplet - for example you might have a triplet rhythm with one element of the triplet also being subdivided into a triplet.

What is the difference between cross rhythms and polyrhythms?

Cross rhythm is the effect produced when two conflicting rhythms are heard together. Polyrhythm is when two or more rhythms with different pulses are heard together, eg where one is playing in triple time and another is playing in quadruple time - three against four.
