Is it possible to lose your falsetto?

Sometimes we can wear out the falsetto through the way we are training our full voice. If the voice is healthy you should be able to sing all of the pitches of your range in a quiet dynamic. If you have to crescendo as you rise in pitch there is an imbalance in the voice that is causing your falsetto to disappear.

Why does my falsetto break?

Now just the outer edges of the vocal cords are coming together as a lot of air is escaping through the cords. This is called falsetto. This sudden, abrupt change in the tension of the vocal cords together with the abrupt change in tone quality, causes the cracking or breaking sound.

Why can I no longer sing in falsetto?

For most untrained, no-professional singers, it's difficult to produce vibrato within the falsetto voice. This is because the vocal folds are barely touching, making it difficult to control the airflow going through your throat. If you can only sing on a straight tone in this voice, relax. That's normal.

Can falsetto be improved?

Falsetto is just one facet of what it takes to become a better singer, but a crucial one nonetheless! While singing falsetto might seem simple enough, reaching proper pitch requires skill, practice, and some understanding of how to produce higher notes no matter your natural voice tone.
