How do you split staffs in MuseScore?
Split instrument staffs
- User must select at least one note of an instrument to be split.
- The selected instrument will be duplicated (below the original one).
- The second staff of the first instrument and the first staff of the second instrument will be deleted.

Select a note and press Ctrl + Shift + ↓/↑ (Mac: Cmd + Shift + ↓/↑). This moves all the notes in that voice down/up to the other staff.
