How do you play the sousaphone instruments?
Put the horn on your left shoulder to hold it up and balance it, while lifting the instrument with your right elbow. Hold the area where the mouthpiece and the lead pipe meet. Keep the horn's bell facing north/south depending on which way you're facing. Take a large breath and blow to produce a sound.

Sousaphone is a type of tuba. The key difference between tuba and sousaphone is their shape and appearance. Sousaphone has a broad bell that faces above the player's head and projects forward whereas the bell in tuba is smaller and doesn't extend as far as the player's head.
