How do you find relative chords?

The relative minor chord is the sixth degree chord of the major key in question. For example, the C relative minor chord is the sixth degree chord of the C major key, that is, Am (or Am7). Another example: suppose the tonality is G major. The relative minor of G will be Em (or Em7).

How do you find relative scales?

To find the relative minor scale from a given major scale, count up six scale degrees in the major scale–that is where the relative minor scale begins. This minor scale will be the natural minor mode. The relative minor scale can also be found by counting backwards (down) by three scale degrees in the major scale.
