Using the Selection tool, highlight the section of music that contains the chord symbols you wish to copy; choose Edit > Copy, or use the appropriate keyboard shortcut CTRL+C (Windows) or CMD+C (Mac).

Edit menu->edit filter. Unselect all (click on None), then select chords. Copy and paste. Only the chords will get copied.

1. Click the Selection tool. and select a region. See Selecting music for some region-selecting shortcuts.
2. Choose Edit > Clear Selected Items. The Clear Selected Items dialog box appears.
3. Click the None button to uncheck all, then check Chords and Fretboards.
4. Click OK (or press RETURN) . Finale erases the chord symbols.
