Edit menu->edit filter. Unselect all (click on None), then select chords. Copy and paste. Only the chords will get copied.

  3. Click the None button to uncheck all, then check Chords and Fretboards.
  4. Click OK (or press RETURN) . Finale erases the chord symbols.
